Selected area high school age artists from throughout Northwest Oklahoma will be featured in the exhibit. Home schoolers and students without school art programs may also enter the competition. Named after world renowned artist/illustrator/author Paul Laune, a native of Woodward, the contest lets students know that there is a place in the world for their talents. This competition is a 40+ year competition at the museum. Cash prizes and closing ceremonies will be 11 am-1 pm on March 11.

With the arrival of Heart Health Month in February, the Newman Memorial Hospital in Shattuck is hosting a program on heart health. Dr. R. Nathan Grantham, a cardiothoracic surgeon, will discuss heart health. He will provide insight into the epidemic of heart disease and discuss how each person can go beyond thinking about heart health and become an active participant. Dr. Grantham will also have a presentation on issues related to women's heart health at the hospital's monthly Lunch & Learn event.
