Erick and Dana Wheeler opened Compass Athletics back in August 2011.  Due to the need to expand their inventory and create a more comfortable environment for their happy customers, they moved to their current location on Main Street in March 2014.  If their move to create a better inventory and selection for their customers, doesn’t show how important the customer is to Compass Athletics…just ask any of their customers.  “They have always been very helpful in anything we need, and if they don’t have it, they will make sure and get it for you!” said a very satisfied woman who has been a customer since they opened their doors.

As well as their focus on customer service, the Compass Athletics’ team prides themselves on offering a great selection of gear for the true athlete.  When asked what was one of their favorite things about their business, Dana stated that she enjoyed being able to provide Woodward residents with high quality brands that weren’t previously available in our area.  “We made the conscious decision to bring brands like Patagonia and Saucony to Woodward for our customers and establish a reputation that Compass (Athletics) is about providing a great choice of high quality products and great customer service,” Dana said.

Eric agreed with Dana and added that he enjoys sharing in the special moment of that first big purchase which could propel a new athlete to the next level.  “That moment when the father brings the daughter in for her first major softball glove, and he looks at her with pride…I get to be a small part of that moment!” said Eric.

Compass Athletics holds two HUGE sales during the year!  The first, is their annual Winter Sale that takes place at the end of January; the second, is their Anniversary Sale that takes place the third week in July.  So, hurry down to Compass Athletics for great deals during their Winter Sale to jump start those healthy New Year’s resolutions.

Primarily serving the Woodward community, Compass Athletics also caters to Red Carpet Country and the Tri-State area.  The Wheelers are known to travel from town to town to make sure their customers are well taken care of, but they also offer shipping for those customers who might be passing through and are unable to take their purchases with them.

Think you might know everything about Compass Athletics at this point?  Did you know they actually provide personalization services for school jerseys and jackets, and sell institutional equipment – bleachers, batting cages, field paint, basketball goals, etc.?  That’s right…Compass Athletics has it ALL!
