In June 2014, Heather Binder began her training as a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner, and upon her certification, she took a good look at the healthy and organic selections Woodward had to offer. Although Woodward has a pretty good selection of nutritional supplement stores, Heather wanted more…thus beginning her journey to add this much needed healthy option the Woodward community so deserved. Primal Nutrition opened its doors in August 2015 offering healthy, organic options, cooking classes, and even nutritional therapy consultations.

Heather hand-picks each of the products in her store and can also advise on the different products based on your needs and requirements. Primal Nutrition offers gluten free products, organic produce and frozen foods (including ice cream!), chemical free household items, organic pet food, and much more! When asked what her favorite product is, Heather said “Kombucha” (a fermented organic drink that comes in a variety of flavors – we love the blue bilberry). This drink is also one of Primal Nutrition’s best sellers along with their Kale and Seaweed Chips. Heather also says she thinks they might have the largest selection of snack bars around with everything from organic protein to fruit bars!

If you are interested in learning how to cook healthier options for your family, General Manager Melanie Nickel is Primal Nutrition’s top chef! They offer monthly cooking classes centering around healthy meals that are easy to prepare and you don’t have to be Gordon Ramsey to get them right! The next cooking class is set for February 27th with a focus on Spaghetti Squash. Still don’t think you have the time to cook…Primal Nutrition can accommodate. Monday, Wednesday and Friday, they offer pre-cooked healthy lunch or dinner choices for in-store pick up.

Are you interested in delving a little deeper into your health and wellness? Heather provides nutritional therapy consultation services to get you on the right track. Heather can provide customers with a personal screening to identify aspects of their system that might need attention. When you speak to Heather about Primal Nutrition and her passion for maintaining a healthy lifestyle, she truly understands the benefits as Heather personally dealt with her own severe health issues prior to discovering the benefits of a healthy organic diet.  She had gone from doctor to doctor trying to find a cure, but after repeated failures to identify what was wrong, Heather started her own research.  After researching many different home remedies, Heather developed the right nutritional balance for her body and has not looked back since.  As someone with first hand experience of nutritional health issues, Heather can personally attest to the fact that changing your lifestyle and eating a healthy diet, can, and will, make a difference.  Heather is a true inspiration for all thanks to her determination to become healthy and her desire to pass on this knowledge to others so that they too can enjoy the benefits of a healthy mind and body.
