Plains Indians & Pioneers Museum
Entries are being accepted until Saturday, December 4th. Judging will take place December 7th and the houses will be on display until January 8th. There are two categories: Adult, age 16 & up and Children, ages 8-15. Cash prizes will be awarded. All work must be original, no gingerbread house kits. Entry packets are available for download on the museum's website or can be picked up at the museum.
A new artist exhibit by Inga Ojala of Bucklin, Kansas, a western and wildlife artist, will be on display during the month of December. She specializes in paintings of wildlife and western art and can paint, draw, or sculpt just about anything. Ojala is the daughter of legendary Hollywood gunslinger, holster innovator, gun safety and gun coach Arvo Ojala and actress, model, and figure skater Doris Naga Seversen. Inga is also a horse trainer and expert marksman and has worked or appeared in some films. Be sure to come by the museum to meet her on Saturday, December 4th at the Artist Reception from 2 pm-4 pm.
